THE IMPORTANCE OF LIGHT IN THE CANCER TREATMENT

This therapy combines the use of light and the use of drugs (known as Photosentitizers) that are activated under light irradiation. These "activated drugs'' react with oxygen inside the cancer cells to produce toxic species and leading to the death of the cell.
